Together, we make up the team at the allerd!ngs – Support Sexwork Thüringen counseling center.
We offer counseling and support to people who provide sexual or erotic services in Thuringia. It’s important to us to treat everyone with openness, respect, and without prejudice.
You’re very welcome here—no matter how you work, where you’re from, or what questions you have.
Our counseling is free, anonymous, and confidential. Upon request, we also offer counseling in multiple languages.
Why are we called allerd!ngs?
Our name isn’t a coincidence. It stands for the diversity of the people we advise. There are young people, but also older ones. People from Germany, but also from other countries. People who work independently, but also people who need support in difficult situations.
That’s exactly what allerd!ngs stands for. There isn’t just one story of sex work. Every person brings their own experiences, questions, and needs. That’s why we treat everyone with openness, respect, and without prejudice.
Who are we here for?
Our counseling center is for anyone who provides sexual or erotic services.
This includes, for example, people who work in sex work, as escorts, or in the field of erotic massage. Even if your work doesn’t clearly fit into these categories or you’re unsure, you can contact us at any time.
Sex work is diverse. Some people work in this field for only a short time, while others have been doing so for many years. Some are self-employed, while others are employed by others. Some are from Germany, while others are from other countries.
Family members, friends, and people who accompany or support sex workers can also contact us confidentially.
How can we help you?
You can come to us with any questions you have—whether they’re directly related to your work or concern your personal life.
For example, we can advise and support you with:
- Questions about sex work
- personal or family problems
- sexually transmitted infections (STIs)
- career guidance
- taxes and self-employment
- violence or exploitation
- crises and difficult situations
- health insurance and social benefits
- the Prostitute Protection Act (ProstSchG)
- government agencies and forms
We offer in-person meetings, telephone counseling, and online counseling. If you’d like, we can also accompany you to government offices or refer you to appropriate specialized agencies.
We provide counseling regardless of whether you’re still working in the sex industry or want to make a change.
How do we work?
Every situation is different. That’s why we take the time to work with you.
We listen to you, explain your options, and work with you to find the right solutions. You decide for yourself what kind of support you’d like to receive.
Our counseling is voluntary, confidential, and tailored to your needs.
What do we stand for?
We know that sex work takes many forms.
Some people choose to work in this field on their own terms and want information on legal, health, or professional issues. Others have had traumatic experiences or are facing difficult life circumstances.
Both are part of reality. That’s why we provide counseling that is open, respectful, and non-judgmental.
We want to help reduce the stigma surrounding sex work and ensure that sex workers are taken seriously in our society. Everyone should know their rights, make self-determined decisions, and have access to support.
At the same time, we do not turn a blind eye to violence, coercion, or sexual exploitation. Through our collaboration with specialized counseling centers, government agencies, and other network partners, we are committed to protecting those affected and quickly connecting them with the appropriate help.
